Northwest Comprehensive understands the culture of the Higher Education community and we have committed major resources to service this unique industry. Our base of college and university clientele is extensive, and it is our mission in working with this type of client to bring services and ideas that are unparalleled in the industry.
We are a leader nationally in higher education benefit work. The unique needs and issues of a higher education institution is something that NWC’s professional team deals with daily—not just sometimes—and has been doing so for years. Working with us, goes far beyond just the financial rewards, as the high experience level of higher education benefit professionals brings an entirely new intangible value to campus.
Part of this platform is the Higher Education Benefit Alliance (HEBA):
HEBA is structured to take advantage of the high volume of college and university clients under one umbrella in the employee benefits insurance and services arena. This is done through coordinated efforts that leverage this volume in the marketplace to insurance companies and other service providers that possess an appetite for higher education business.
The HEBA program currently involves college and university clientele in over 15 states from coast to coast, with over 50 colleges and universities participating. It has also been supported by higher education groups and associations that have had a positive experience introducing the program to their members.
The following is accomplished more effectively than a school operating on a stand-alone basis:
1) Access to better financial proposals for institutions
2) Access to better benefits and features for institutions
3) Access to stability in maintaining the aforementioned advantages
HEBA handles all lines of benefit coverage and services, including but not limited to:
- Medical/Rx
- Life and Disability
- Dental
- Vision
- Flex, Cobra, etc.
- 403(b) Consulting
- Worksite, voluntary benefits
